The role youâ€ll contribute : Â
The Interventional Radiology Technologist V †Advanced INR works in the highly-specialized Neuro-Interventional Angio Lab that caters to the needs of patients requiring constant monitoring and whose clinical conditions are considered critical.
The Advanced Neuro-Interventional Tech is adept at responding to changes in patient condition that could lead to serious complications and providing immediate interventions as required.
The tech is comfortable in operating and managing complex medical equipment and assisting physicians in the management of the patient.
Under general supervision, the Interventional Neurology Radiology (INR) Technologist V performs sterile diagnostic, radiographic (IR), therapeutic endovascular (NI) and non-vascular interventional radiographic procedures and administers contrast agents at a technical level.
Takes call as rotated / assigned and responds (in hospital) within 30 minutes. Provides safe care and processing of patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric.
Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.Â

· Performs diagnostic, radiographic (IR), therapeutic endovascular (NI) and non-vascular interventional radiographic procedures.
Utilizes the knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary to perform safe and effective procedures on patients of all ages (neonate / infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatrics) to include the cerebral vasculature.
Willing to learn / adapt to new technologies and protocols and help develop the knowledge and competency of co-workers and students.
Addresses patient needs, questions and anxieties
· Inputs procedural charges into the computer system. Accurately records time data to meet hospital AHCA / DNV metrics as a comprehensive stroke center.
Responsible to work hand in hand with physicians and supply chain to determine appropriate par levels and ensure necessary equipment is available
·Attends department meetings consistently and promotes positive dialogue with respect to department objectives. Listens and is responsible to understand all agenda items.
Attends quarterly meetings for stroke improvement processes
· Exam Supervision and Administration Assists physician with sterile procedures, anticipates their needs and is knowledgeable of all necessary equipment and supplies.
Ensures aseptic techniques are observed. Removes sheaths and holds arterial pressure until hemostasis. Utilizes two patient identifiers to confirm patient / exam accuracy before administering exam.
Confirms proper exam / patient before releasing images to PACS. Maintains intra-arterial access as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.
Participates in physiologic monitoring of patients. Performs manual and mechanical hemostasis, including the use of closure devices, as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner Places, maintains and removes peripherally inserted central catheters as prescribed by a licensed independent

 • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
• Certified Radiographer
