Job Summary

Graduate Assistants will provide educationally beneficial assistance to the School of Business. The position will handle a mix of research, data analysis, and possibly community-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Research

Research literature, summarize articles, collect data, analyze data for ongoing research projects, present findings, and communicate orally and in writing as directed. Graduate research assistants will also assist faculty members with their research initiatives - help preparing research papers, reports, or grant proposals.

Project Coordination

Help manage communication, create spreadsheets or use other software to track progress, create documentation. May also include responsibilities related to seeking outside sponsorships or recruiting students, including attending events, creating social media posts, and research, marketing, and / or website development.

Other Duties as Assigned

The graduate assistant performs other duties as assigned and participates in staff, committee, and other university meetings as appropriate and at the request of supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Full time enrollment in any Middle Georgia State University graduate program
• Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA or graduate GPA
• Critical and creative thinking skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Experience with research & writing
