Job Title : Accountant
Job Description
Track costs for projects with Project Managers. Work closely with the team and Corporate to ensure machine projects are progressing as scheduled.
Maintain inventory spreadsheets and confirm all transactions are assigned to a project number. Verify and record labor hours for payroll and cost purposes.
Prepare commissions calculations for sales personnel. Work with Inventory department to do weekly cycle counts. Create sales orders and invoices for major projects.
Prepare some of the month-end journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Responsible for all the machine projects and ensure they are updated monthly.
Maintain inventory WIP file on a monthly basis. Maintain warranty files. Maintain and update project costs folders and excel files.
Prepare expense report journal entries. Verify and maintain general ledger detail. Investigate, correct, and follow-up on any inaccuracies identified.
Help prepare year-end supporting documentations for audits.

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Champlin, Minnesota and some days remote.
Work Environment
Accounting team consists of the manager, this role, and an AP / AR Specialist. The software used is Visibility. The new employee comes in three days a week, with the expectation to be in five days a week for an estimated six-month training period.
After training, the role will be hybrid with three days a week in office (or more if chosen). The company is worldwide, but this location has 75 employees.
The location generates $30M in revenue. The work involves tracking costs, managing differences of products, and extensive reporting before, during, and after projects.
