Position Summary

Amplity has a current opportunity for an Executive Director.

The Executive Director will be responsible for guiding the Academy of Nurse & Patient Navigators forward by overseeing all operational, financial and technical aspects of the organization.

Reporting to the AONN+ Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead the strategic direction of the organization,to grow AONN+ into the leading professional association for nurse and patient navigation.

The Executive Director will be responsible for creating the conditions for fundraising success :

E stablishing and effectively managing the budget, setting and meeting fundraising and revenue goals and preparing accurate financial reports for budget reviews with the board.

The Executive Director will be responsible for the management of the organization, overseeing the AONN+ organizational structure, including the AONN+ Leadership Council and community, as well as the management of in-house teams, agency and volunteer talent, and all operational processes for the organization.

In addition, the Executive Director will serve as the spokesperson and face of AONN+ at external conferences and events, in the media and in partnership with other leading healthcare, non-profit and oncology organizations, forging strategic partnerships that raise the profile of AONN+.

This role will oversee all conference production, the creation of the external event calendar, oversight and optimization of programs and properties, resources and channels, such as the organization's website, digital channels, training and educational materials, and work in partnership with the Editor in Chief of JONs, the Journal of Oncology Navigation & Survivorship .

The range of responsibilities for this role is diverse and thus requires thorough knowledge of the oncology and navigation landscape, team leadership and successful industry and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications : Experience :

Experience :

  • Proven work as a non-profit Executive Director or similar role
  • Experience leading fundraising activities
  • Strong knowledge of financials and how to build financial forecasting documents for the Board of Directors
  • Experience leading and influencing in external environments / industry

Education :

Bachelor's Degree from and accredited college or university

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Non-profit leadership experience
  • Fundraising and financial operations
  • Team leadership and coaching abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strategic skills, necessary to oversee execution of large-scale projects. Attention to detail, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with diverse partners.
  • Proficient in Word, Power Point and Excel

Certificates / Licenses :

RN, BSN preferred

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requires extensive work using a computer. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs and established deadlines. Travel required.
