Position Summary

The Program Administrator will be responsible for providing high-quality event planning and operational support to the Interactive Telecommunications Program / Interactive Media Arts (ITP / IMA) department.

Coordinate all aspects of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events from concept to brief, ideation, and event execution. Create and manage the social media presence for the department;

create web and social media content for a wide range of internal / external communications for BFA, MA and MPS programs.

Manage and deliver a variety of student services, including advisement, admissions and recruitment. May include travel.

Qualifications

Required Education : Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree

Required Experience :

3+ years experience in academic administration or student services, student advisement and developing events.

Preferred Experience :

3+ years Prior experience in an arts or academic environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :

Excellent written, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including advising students and resolving problems.

Software knowledge and creativity for text, graphic design, audio / video, web / social media (Adobe Creative Suite proficiency Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator).

Proficiency and agility with Web content platforms as well as social media tools such as Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / Mailchimp

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities :

Exemplary interpersonal skills and presentation skills. Skills in video editing (Premiere, Final Cut, or comparable) and / or livestream technologies.

Working knowledge of Student Information System (SIS).

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.

This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
