Spry Methods is on the search for a Security Engineer (Senior) to join our team in Huntsville, AL.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities) :
- Design, implement, and maintain security architectures and frameworks
- Conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability analyses
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements) :
- TS Clearance is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related role
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security frameworks
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS / IPS, SIEM, DLP, antivirus software)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, web application security, and cloud security
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are preferred
