Description
We are a grassroots organization that works with 80 local congregations and community groups and 3,000 volunteers to provide shelter and related services to the homeless.
Each night, from October through April, we provide a warm, welcoming, and safe shelter for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
We also provide meals and companionship. Further, we assist guests in moving forward to permanent housing through intensive case management and specialized services.
Key qualifications and responsibilities include the ability to step in ready to set a budget, work with an outside accounting firm on a routine annual audit, run organizational operations, provide basic human resource management, and oversee improvements to internal systems.
You will also play a key role in our grant application process, as well as annual giving initiatives and managing community and donor relations.
We seek an Interim Executive Director who can actively collaborate with and manage staff, while fostering a low-hierarchy, positive organizational culture.
Other key responsibilities - such as guiding the volunteers who are so critical to our service delivery - are specific to the homeless services community, and others solely to PACEM.

Compensation
Daily rate between $580 and $640.
Certain benefits can be available, with a commensurate reduction in pay rate.
Term
You will serve as PACEM’s Interim Executive Director for nine to 12 months, as our Board answers important strategic questions and searches for its permanent Executive Director.
You will also make system improvements that will help the Board set the new permanent Executive Director up for success.
