Phil Long Dealerships is searching for an experienced controller to perform a full range or accounting duties including financial statement preparation, financial analysis and monthly reconciliations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- maintain fixed asset schedules; add fixed assets to system and process monthly depreciation reports
- preparation of general ledger account reconciliations,
- conduct monthly bank account reconciliations
- calculate budgets and analyze variance between budget and actual
- calculate loan interest and process payments
- financial statement preparation, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow
- review financial statement for errors
- Compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements;
filing reports; advising management on needed actions
- perform quarterly equity reconciliations and distributions
- create ad hoc repots as necessary
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 to 7 years general accounting experience
- basic understanding on internal controls and audits of internal controls
- working knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting
- ability to identify, review and investigate accounting irregularities
- intermediate Excel experience
