Primary Job Function :
Perform inspections of inbound product received and perform quality assurance of outbound (in compliance with customer specifications).
General Duties :
- Check quality on in-house product of the warehouse and inspect coolers;
- Check rotation, temperature controls and identify spoilage;
- Conduct avocado and banana ripening practices as required;
- Assist and conduct inventory;
- Support purchasing and sales staff with accurate information of product condition;
Adhere to all food safety and quality systems
Required :
One year of experience in produce quality control
Strong service perspective to meeting customer expectations.
Tolerate working up to 90% of the time in cooler and dock temperatures which may vary from 30-55 degrees.
- Must be able to stand the majority of the working day, reaching, pulling and lift occasionally up to 50 pounds;
- Forklift Operation : Significant experience driving warehouse forklift.
Responsibilities :
The Quality Control Associate will inspect produce coming in and recondition product going out while abiding with all food safety practices and procedures.
