Job Description

The Manager in Training will be responsible for hiring, developing and performance managing a sales force that is focused on the guest experience, driving sales to deliver their budget and increase repeat business.

By focusing on their team members Why , fostering positive belief systems, and coaching on process behaviors, the leader will achieve their store’s KPI’s and help each team member do the same.

The Manager in Training must maintain laser focus by being in Position to Impact on the sales floor.

Essential Functions

Lead the team by focusing on FDE’s 7 critical sales leadership processes :

1) Manage and Monitor Staffing

2) Onboard New Team Members

3) Engage, Develop and Performance Manage Team Members

4) Manage and Execute FDE’s Proven Sales Process

5) Manage Prospecting and Follow Up

6) Manage Quality and Compliance

7) Position to Impact

  • Demonstrate mastery of FDE’s Leadership Toolkit.
  • Attend training sessions such as Managers Meetings, Product and Vendor Training, Leadership Training and Managers Essentials to improve abilities as required.
  • Coach and develop other leaders such as Assistant Selling Managers and Coaches.
  • Set the tone for the day by leading and participating in Peak State huddles and scrimmages.
  • Focus on essential sales KPI’s :

o Achieve Store Sales Budget

o Staff to Traffic / Turnover

o Sales Per Guest

o Sleep %

o Protection %

o Accessories %

o Close Rate

o Average Sale

o Net Margin

o Split %

o Net Promoter Score (NPS)

o Appointment % Booked of Unsold Guests

o Total Piece Exception Rate

  • Ensure the sales functions support the company’s mission and values.
  • Attend and facilitate the Perfect Store Visit meeting weekly.
  • Make certain the showroom floor is guest ready at all times.
  • Take Team Opportunities (T / O’s) and overflow guests to train team members and keep personal sales process skills sharp.

Schedule Expectations

  • Scheduled to work a minimum of 45 hours per week including Saturdays and Sundays; the number of hours worked will increase during holidays or blackout periods, for vacation coverage, or for other business needs.
  • Scheduled for two days off each week, except during holidays or blackout periods.
  • Regular attendance at the assigned store in accordance with these schedule expectations is an essential function of the job and all job functions are performed at designated job location.

Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a fast pace environment that reflect the business needs of the company.
  • Strong ability to get results through others by effective goal setting and performance measurement.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to empower and develop a team and hold them accountable
  • Ability to build solid work relationships and teamwork throughout an organization
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point), and the ability to easily learn Ashley’s internal computer systems
