Description
As a Junior Systems Engineer , you will support engineering activities within NAVAIR's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program Office (PMA-271).
This is an incredible opportunity to gain technical, Navy acquisition experience.
As the Junior Engineer you will be responsible for performing the following :
- Support government engineering duties in the acquisition of tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment.
- Assist in government activities pertaining to installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Assist the engineering development and acquisition of modern complex systems.
- Employ systems engineering methods and tools in the acquisition and development of advanced complex systems, and when appropriate, conduct research in applied systems engineering to advance the field.
- This position may require flexibility in working hours and some travel

Education and Experience Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required
- Engineering-related work or internship experience is a plus

Security Clearance Requirements :
This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. If no clearance is held, candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Position may require a Top Secret clearance in the future.
Salary Range :
The estimated salary range for this position will be $75,000 - $90,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set.
