Mental Health Nurse Crisis Residence

Daytime hours!Check out the great benefits below!Unity House is opening a brand new six-bed Crisis Residence that offers a safe place for the stabilization of psychiatric symptoms and a range of person centered, trauma informed services to support participants.

This is a short-term stay facility that serves participants for up to 28 days as they prepare to transition back to the community.

This position will be available October 21, 2024.Responsibilities : Conduct mental and physical health assessments.Help create individualized participate service plans.

Participate in care coordination.Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to meet participants needs.Provide linkages to relevant medical services and preventative care.

Promote overall wellness and self-management.Provide accompaniment, support and advocacy as needed.Participate in rotating on-call system.

Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.Requirements : Current, unrestricted NYS Licensed Registered Nurse. Must be current with CPR and First Aid certification.

At least one year experience working in mental health / substance abuse settings. Clean and valid NYS driver license. Must be able to work independently and as a team.
