About the Role

The Canon U.S.A. Logistics Division receives, maintains and ships inventory of various Canon products. Located in our Norcross, GA Distribution Center, the Warehouse Associate II (Warehouser II) will pick and pack merchandise into proper containers and handling units while maintaining accurate inventory levels by verifying item numbers.

40 Hour Work Week, Monday to Friday 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm

This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s) / worksite(s) / territory.

Your Impact

  • Loads and off -loads trucks following established distribution guidelines and procedures
  • Verifies by written documentation or use of computer that merchandise corresponds to receiving reports and is placed in inventory
  • Sorts and stocks merchandise / parts into proper storage containers and bins maintaining adequate inventory levels and verifying part numbers and / or item numbers
  • Inspect and receive returned merchandise, determining stock grade and storing in proper location
  • Retrieves merchandise from stock as listed on the picking list or shipping order, frequently with the use of a forklift
  • Verifies merchandise picked for shipment corresponds to shipping orders, and prepares orders for shipment, packing, weighing and labeling parcels in a manner which ensures the occurrence of transport damage is minimized
  • Assists with monthly stock inventory procedures, utilizing a hand held computer to record counts
  • Assist in the research of inventory discrepancies
  • May report stock damage and shortage
  • Perform shipping and receiving clerical functions utilizing Canon systems
  • Assist with disposal procedures and processes. Assist in all areas of the operation when needed
  • Most warehouse processes require use of hand held computers linked to a Warehouse Management System
  • Typically requires ability to use digital devices for basic inquiries and updating inventory levels
  • Represents the organization to customers by providing information, responding to inquiries or troubleshooting product problems
  • Typically reports to a Supervisor or Manager
  • Level II employees have a good understanding of the day-to-day job role, can apply their experience to more complicated tasks and work under limited supervision, though decision-making is still not required as they generally follow existing processes and procedures

About You : The Skills & Expertise You Bring

  • This position requires the ability to work as a member of a team and to work overtime
  • Attention to detail is required
  • This position requires the ability to obtain forklift certification
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of functionality of a Warehouse Management System preferred (Computer & hard wired scanner, Radio Frequency scanners, hand held or wrist mounted devices)
  • Required to adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment guidelines outlined in Canon Company Policies and follow all housekeeping and recycling guidelines
  • This position requires the ability to lift and move heavy objects, typically up to 50 lbs., but occasionally may require the ability to lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance
  • Warehouse may be subject to ambient temperature and humidity conditions

The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.

In accordance with applicable law we are providing the starting hourly rate for this role : $20.00
