Your Impact at SAM The Military Recruiter is responsible for identifying and recruiting highly skilled service members transitioning out of the military and into the civilian workforce.

This role involves developing relationships with military personnel, understanding their unique skill sets, and matching them with the appropriate job opportunities at SAM.

The recruiter will work closely with hiring managers to fill positions across all SAM offices, ensuring a smooth transition for service members into meaningful civilian careers at SAM.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with military bases, transition offices, veteran organizations, and other related entities;
  • Engage with service members nearing the end of their military service to discuss SAM's DOD SkillBridge Program and other career opportunities at SAM;
  • Participate in military job fairs, transition workshops, and other events to connect with potential candidates; Assess the skills, experience, and career goals of transitioning service members and veterans to identify their best career match at SAM, where they can reach their full potential;
  • Provide potential career paths and salary expectations to service members and veterans based on their background, interests, and the needs of the organization;
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, develop targeted recruitment strategies, and present most qualified candidates to them;
  • Prepare reports on recruitment metrics, including placement success rates, candidate satisfaction, and retention rates; Continously engage with veterans and hiring managers throughout the organization to improve overall success of the military hiring program;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the Company’s strategic goals. What You Bring to SAM Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related field required;
  • Prior military service or experience working with military personnel is strongly preferred. You must be able to translate military skills and experiences into civilian job qualifications;
  • Strong understanding of military culture, structure, and the transition process; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field or equivalent work experience;

Willingness to travel (typically 10-15%) and participate in off-site events and meetings; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

We use MS Excel extensively for reporting; Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (we use iCIMS) and other recruitment tools;

Ability to pivot quickly to evolving program and organizational requirements; Ability to maintain confidential information and exercise sound judgment.
