Responsibilities :
- Cultivating the support of donors through direct solicitations, fundraising campaigns, and indirect methods such as alumni engagement, alumni and professional societies, and targeted campaigns.
- Maintaining positive relationships with potential donors and the community.
- Directing the management of individual giving programs, trusts, estates, gift planning, corporate and foundation relations, prospect research, donor relations, and stewardship.
- Developing and managing financial gifts, endowments, and other funding in support of University programs.
- Organizing fundraising activities and soliciting monetary donations or other gifts.
- Cultivating relationships with donors and friends of the University.
- Raising awareness of the University's work, goals, and financial needs.
Additional Position Information :
Education :
Requires a relevant Bachelor's degree.
Experience :
Requires a minimum of 4 years experience in fundraising or alumni relations, or sales and marketing. Alternatively, significant experience working in higher education with demonstrated leadership supporting a college or a dean.
Higher education fundraising preferred.
Leadership :
No authority or responsibility for the supervision of others.
Licenses / Certifications / Requirements :
Valid drivers license State of Ohio.
Preferred Qualifications :
Higher education fundraising.
Physical Requirements :
Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc. May occasionally lift very lightweight objects.
Working Conditions :
No major sources of working conditions discomfort, standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions, minor heating / cooling or ventilation problems, and / or up to 40% use of PC terminal.
