Your Impact at SAM As a Geomatics Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting Professional Land Surveyors in the analysis and preparation of boundary, planimetric and topographic surveys, preparing plats and legal documents and processing field data.

This role is, also, responsible for training and developing technical staff, managing land survey project controls, QA / QC, and assisting with work orders for field crews.

Performs document research, field checks, and meets with department personnel as required to develop the scope of boundary, topographic and hydrographic surveys Assists in the development of cost and schedule estimates for land survey Plans, organizes and directs the activities of technical land survey Participates in the selection, placement, training, appraisal, safety and discipline of assigned personnel Prepares field notes, calculations, and drawings, manually or utilizing computerized design and drafting equipment, as required to analyze and check layout and as-built construction Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the Company’s strategic goals What You Bring to SAM Thorough knowledge of Federal, State and other regulations regarding land surveying Thorough knowledge of CAD and or Micro Station, TBC, and project tracking software Thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, instruments utilized for land surveying Considerable knowledge of design and construction techniques for the planning and layout of public utilities and streets within rights-of-way and easements Ability to work effectively with employees, department management, contractors and consultants in a professional Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to analyze data and prepare written reports Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school supplemented by college level course work in mathematics, engineering, and land surveying Five plus years progressively responsible experience in land surveying at the party chief level, which would include experience in both field and administrative work Graduation from an accredited two or four-year College with major course work in engineering and land surveying is preferred Availability outside of typical work hours for project support Our Perks Opportunity for hybrid work schedules for office positions Work-life balance is on us Company paid premiums for medical, dental, vision, LTD and life insurance (HSA and FSA plans available) Generous paid time off (vacation, sick, holidays and parental leave) Accrual starts immediately 401(k) program offers 100% employer match up to 5% Paid continuing education courses and tuition reimbursement Employee Assistance Program Your mental health is our priority No glass ceiling!
