Position Summary :

As Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment, and in fabricating metal parts and tools.

This is a direct hire position for our manufacturing client in the Savannah, GA area. We are looking to hire two Supervisors, one for refinery and one for packaging.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Knows, observes and enforces all Standard Operating Procedures, safety procedures and rules, environmental practices and GMP guidelines.
  • Directs workers in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and repair of machinery and equipment.
  • Prioritizes and schedules work to meet production schedules. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
  • Directs workers engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery.
  • Requisitions and maintains supply of spare parts.
  • Leads DNA and S programs for areas of responsibility.
  • Participates in RCA (Root Cause Analysis) of systems and equipment failures in the effort to implement solutions to increase plant reliability.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintains time and maintenance records.
  • Contributes to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinates activities with requirements of other areas and departments.
  • Directly supervises - employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include : interviewing, hiring, and training employees planning, assigning, and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems

Required Education, Skills, and Experience :

  • Associates degree or equivalent two years of applicable training
  • year of supervisory experience in industrial maintenance
  • years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Preferred Skills and Experience :

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribe style and format.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Physical Demands and Expectations :

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;

reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit; climb stairs and / or ladders, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Must regularly lift and / or move up to pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Working conditions : While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.

The associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
