Associate Pharmacy Technician

Description

Prepares medications (oral solids, injectables, IV admixtures, chemotherapy, etc.) for dispensing. Works under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist to accomplish delivery of patient medications, utilizing personnel and automatic dispensing machines.

Age-Related Competencies : Demonstrates the basic knowledge and skills (cognitive, technical, and interpersonal) necessary to identify age-specific patient needs, appropriate for this position.

This includes patients such as neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Required Qualifications :

• California Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Coursework / Training : Technician training course.
• Pharmacy experience.
