Material Control Specialist (Contract Role) #1939OS

Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in warehouse operations? We're seeking a dynamic Material Control Specialist to join our team on a contract basis.

This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain and inventory management processes.

Contract : 6+ months

About the Role

As a Material Control Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our material handling operations. Your responsibilities may include receiving, put-away, packing, kitting, shipping, and inventory counting.

You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth material flow and accurate inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and accessible inventory storage system
• Support manufacturing operations through efficient material handling and kitting
• Oversee inventory management, including Kanban system implementation
• Process domestic shipments, including packaging and documentation
• Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all paperwork and transactions
• Conduct regular inventory cycle counts
• Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) documentation
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Contribute to a safe work environment and departmental process improvements
• Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational abilities with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work with minimal supervision
• Team player with multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation (desired)
• Knowledge of inventory control and ERP systems (a plus)
