LHH is looking for a meticulous Property Accountant to join a well-established real estate company in Richmond, VA through a direct hire arrangement. This position is perfect for experienced accounting professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and seek a stable career opportunity.

Main Duties

• Prepare monthly financial statements for prominent clients
• Create accrual or cash-based financial reports and all necessary supporting documentation
• Review and reconcile balance sheet items
• Maintain open communication with property managers and clients
• Analyze budget discrepancies and monitor both cash flow and cash needs
• Complete bank reconciliations
• Verify management fee calculations
• Distribute funds to owners
• Support owners with year-end audits and tax documentation
• Offer suggestions to improve property operations and accounting procedures
• Review team members’ financial statements and bank reconciliations for accuracy
• Provide backup for reporting, banking, or accounting processes, as required
• Help onboard new properties or close out assignments

Required Qualifications

Office Environment

This fully onsite role offers limited flexibility for scheduling around personal obligations or emergencies. The workplace culture is informal and friendly, allowing for casual attire (jeans are welcome) and emphasizing teamwork. The office features contemporary amenities, including a spacious kitchen area.
