Job Opportunity : Estimator for Custom Home Builder
Experience :
- 5-10 years required
- Spanish speaking is a plus
Responsibilities :
- Taking plans
- Doing take-offs
- Finding trades
- Preparing contracts for trades
- Interacting with the owner and CFO
- Bidding out projects
- Organizing projects
- Handling trade contracts
- Managing budgets and estimating
- Dealing with clients
- Sitting in on design meetings and change orders
Education :
Degree strongly preferred, as it indicates initiative and goal-setting- NOT REQUIRED
Attire :
Business casual
Software :
- No specific experience required, but proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Timberline, etc. is preferred
- The firm uses spreadsheets extensively
Industry Knowledge :
Familiarity with the SC market is essential

- Custom homes range from $1.5-6M
- Renovation homes can range from $100k-2M
- Smaller firm with roughly 6 employees

- Base pay : $65,000-$85,000 DOE
- Yearly bonus
