We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Application Support Engineer in Oldsmar, Florida, United States.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with our customers, providing high quality technical support and continuously improving our processes.
Responsibilities :
- Address incoming support requests from customers through both telephone and email.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our software products to provide efficient support services.
- Document in detail any defects or feature requests reported by customers.
- Create software documentation for our online help system.
- Manage web applications that run on Microsoft Windows, IIS, .NET, and SQL Server.
- Provide constructive feedback to our development team throughout the development / QA testing lifecycle.
- Solve a wide range of technical problems using your skills in Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Customer service software, and Microsoft Windows.
- Ensure the continuous improvement of our processes using your creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Handle customer service duties including processing applications and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary.
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Application Support Engineer or in a related role.
- Proficiency in Active Directory is expected.
- Experience with Backup Technologies is required.
- Knowledge of Computer Hardware is crucial for this role.
- Must have a solid understanding of Configuration Management.
- Excellent Customer Service skills are mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL is expected.
- Experience in Application Support is required.
- Familiarity with Break Fix processes is essential.
- Knowledge of Customer service software is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows is expected.
