S., Grand Cayman and China. We are currently looking for Interns to join us for our January 2024 Internship class. Candidates should be able to work a minimum of 24 hours per week throughout the Spring busy season.
Interns will become involved with all aspects of the Tax practice and will gain solid, hand-on experience. They will experience challenging and relevant assignments working directly with Marcum partners and staff.
They will work along with the Tax staff in performing the tax compliance function of the Tax practice. The position requires strong quantitative, analytical and technology capabilities.
Interns must exhibit initiative and a strong desire to learn.
The goal of the internship is to give interns a clear understanding of all areas of the Tax department. They will be assigned client work and will be involved in various projects.
Projects will be assigned on an as needed basis. Projects can include responding to notices from taxing authorities, research tax issues, tax planning, and projections, reconciliation of book to tax income, etc.
They will leave Marcum with the knowledge of what will be expected of them as staff accountants.
