Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of all manufacturing employees during the shift
- Build capabilities in frontline employees and their direct leaders in the areas of centerlines, CILs, defect handling, and other IWS tools / systems
- Provide support and guidance to employees to help them perform their duties effectively
- Develop frontline leaders to effectively support their operating teams
- Coordinate work across business functions i.e. quality, maintenance and production
- Communicate with line and department managers to ensure smooth operations across shifts
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and improve efficiency
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that employees are working in a safe environment
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports as needed
- Monitor operations and make necessary adjustments to meet business objectives
- Identify and address any issues that may impact business results, such as quality incidents, equipment malfunctions, or employee absences
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED) or equivalent required
- 2+ years previous experience in a supervisory role in a production environment preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
- Knowledge of production processes and equipment, including maintenance
- Knowledge of quality systems
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
