Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Receives and sorts incoming applicant materials via physical mail and other sources; uploads student information and documentation to relevant databases.
- Maintains accurate applicant data in university databases, ensuring integrity of student information throughout the admissions process.
- Completes review of financial documentation for international applicants and admitted students.
- Maintains knowledge of multiple university databases to ensure efficient and accurate processing of student data.
- Responds to email inquiries regarding application data as required.
General Responsibilities
- Responds to inquiries from potential students, parents, high school teachers and counselors, and others regarding policies and procedures involved in applying for admission.
- Responds to requests for additional information; determines what material best suits the needs of prospective students and mails.
- Processes incoming applications and supporting documents; codes information sent for data entry; begins the process of creating applicant file.
- Provides clerical support to department including filing, preparing correspondence, and acting as an informational resource.
- Maintains databases and files on applicants and high schools; updating as necessary.
- Generates and mails letters of acceptance, letters of rejection, and other form letters to applicants.
- Verifies that applicants have paid application fee or have appropriate fee waiver and prepares transaction reports.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work Location
Bloomington, Indiana
Ferguson International Center
After an initial period of training that will take place in-person at the Ferguson International Center, this position may be eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work).
Approval for hybrid work is dependent upon the work needs of the department and is subject to change based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$16.00 per hour / $33,280 annually
