Child Start is actively recruiting for multiple openings in our early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 0-3, with positions available across Sedgwick county.
These are full-time career opportunities for dedicated, early childhood professionals.
A typical day working with Child Start in an early childhood classroom may involve :
- Encourage children to try new learning activities.
- Assess each child’s development initially and update assessments throughout the school year.
- Review the curriculum continually and write weekly lesson plans that incorporate all areas of child development (social / emotional development, physical and cognitive language development).
Requirements
Requires :
- Infant / Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), (we have scholarships available to help with CDA completion)
- relevant experience working with infants and toddlers.
- The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 30 pounds for various classroom and event needs.

Child Start's Teacher, Early Head Start position starts at $16.68 - $20.84 per hour, depending on education and / or experience.
