Position : Center-Based Classroom Teacher for Students with Autism

Position Overview :
Join a dedicated team as a Special Education Teacher specializing in an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) program. You will be working in a center-based classroom, collaborating with two resource special education teachers and one other full-time ASD center-based teacher.
This role is focused on providing specialized instruction and support to students with autism, helping them achieve their educational goals.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with autism.
- Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that fosters learning and social development.
- Collaborate with other special education professionals and general education staff to provide comprehensive support to students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress and strategies for support.
Qualifications :
- Must be licensed as a Special Education Teacher, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Experience in a center-based classroom setting for students with autism is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and behavior management plans.
