Get onboard the COLLINS Aerospace Systems MRO team and play a part in managing our customer’s repair and overhaul products from inception to delivery.
What You Will Do :
Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run January-August (including the Spring semester;
it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
- Daily WIP Status Updates
- Visual management maintenance and improvements
- Turnback Analysis from Andon system
- General organization and 5S of shop areas
- Continuous improvement
- Cross Functional Integration
What You Will Learn :
- Develop key management and team skills with ownership over daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- You will learn how to coordinate and manage MRO (maintenance and repair organization) products
- You will directly interface with the supply base, Supply Chain commodity Managers, Supplier Development, Engineering, Business Development, Contracts / Legal, Program Office and Operations.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here :
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Materials, Operations, Business, Supply Chain Management, or an applicable discipline
- Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework
Qualifications We Prefer :
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Solid analytical problem solving skills are extremely valuable
- Willingness to learn and react in a fast paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office products.
