Substation Networking Engineer

We are seeking a talented Substation Networking Engineer to drive innovation and maintain architectural integrity across our operational telecom (OT), critical national infrastructure (CNI), and enterprise service portfolios.

As a key member of our NCIS organization within DPIT, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cloud environments

Responsibilities :

• Take ownership of infrastructure governance models for Optel, private fiber, telemetry, and tele-protection
• Conduct solution architecture reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to develop system solutions
• Develop infrastructure patterns, standards, and reference architectures to ensure compliance and efficiency
• Engage with technical design and domain architects to ensure interoperability of architectures
• Evaluate project outputs against acceptance criteria and develop strategic responses to business requirements
• Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess business benefits and ensure performance excellence

Technical Skills Required :

• Deep understanding of fiber technology, transport network infrastructure, and utility operations communications
• Proficiency in networking technologies such as IP transport, software-defined networking, and LAN network security
• Experience in designing secure and efficient future state models and defining high-level migration plans
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and business audiences effectively

Experience and Education :

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent education and experience
• At least 10 years of experience in architecting and designing complex networking systems

Qualifications :

• In-depth knowledge of fiber technology, transport network infrastructure, and utility operations communications
• At least 10 years of experience architecting and designing complex networking systems
