JOB SUMMARY : Executes assigned warehouse duties accurately and efficiently to insure achievement of corporate and customer objectives
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly unboxing and storing items in their correct location
- Properly picks and packs orders (as assigned) to be shipped according to company standards
- Reliably retrieves items in the warehouse to be processed and shipped
- Verifies and records incoming product (as assigned) accurately and efficiently.
- Understands barcode technology and operates RF equipment as assigned
- Operates automated picking equipment, power conveyors, and forklifts as assigned
- Organize and sort items on shelving, bins and overhangs according to the company standards
- Maintain and report all safety procedures / issues
- Assists in maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse
- Consistently achieves or exceeds warehouse operational pick / pack / ship / receive volume and quality standards
- Positive attitude. Excellent time management and attendance performance
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read and comprehend pick tickets, purchase orders, receiving slips, route slips and instructions.
- Must be able to do basic arithmetic; skill levels normally acquired through the completion of high school.
- Operates automated carts and other such machinery
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Knowledge of Polaris product and parts preferred
- Prior forklift experience required for receiving applications
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Standard warehouse environment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. individually and up to 75 lbs. with a partner
- Ability to stand / walk for lengthy periods of time
- Ability to tolerate heights up to 26 feet.
PART-TIME SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS : Part-Time employee schedules are determined based on business need, the schedule requirements below, and employee preference / availability.
- Minimum of 16 hours / week; Shifts must be @ least 4 hours in length
- Must pick 1 Overtime Day (Day that you work 1 additional hour if building announces a 9-hour shift for that day of the week)
- Assigned to rotational Saturday schedule (additional hours available)
- Must close’ a Thursday or Friday shift ( Close’ means the end of the building’s scheduled shift)
- Start Time Options : 6 : 45am, 8 : 45am, 12 : 30pm, 3 : 00pm, 5 : 00pm, or 7 : 00pm
- Student schedules may be changed during the semester with Supervisor approval. Schedules are subject to be changed at anytime based on business needs.
Schedules will be reviewed each semester to accommodate changing class schedules
The starting pay rateis $17.12 per hour, which includes a $1.00 shift differential for 2nd shift. Further pay increases are based on tenure and certification (training) progression. (Up to $23.07 / hr)
This role is also eligible for Polaris' profit sharing program, which consists of a bonus target of 15%.
