The Used Car Preowned Manager will strive to provide highly satisfactory profit margins on dealer capital invested in the sales department.
Schedule is Monday - Saturday (1 day off during the week)
2 Sunday per month required
Used Car Sales Manager Job Requirements / Responsibilities
- 3 Years Automotive Previous Auto Sales and Finance Management experience is Required
- Able to follow direction from General Manager from day to day tasks and ensure quotas are being met.
- Profit & Loss responsibility of the used car / new car sales department.
- Ability to handle a "start-to-finish" our sales process on a significant load of high-quality clientele.
- Management of all personnel, processes and client / vendor interactions as it relates to used car operations.
- Ability to work well under high pressure.
- Have a good temper and leading and coaching our sales staff.
- Proven experience at building relationships and working in teams.
- Effectively manage our inventory to turn and sell before 60 days of age to minimize wholesale loss.
- Ensure vehicles are detailed and ready for front line sales.
- Appraisal and reconditioning of used cars.
- Wholesale and auction coordination of used vehicles.
- Manage out reconditioning process to ensure approvals for used cars are being processed.
- Work with sales team to generate appointment sales for new and used car inventory.
- Coordination with service and new car departments as required to enable maximum organizational efficiency.
- Being Organized and able to instill organization into our team.
- Stock in used and new vehicles ensuring FTC guidelines are met.
- Reach and daily quota of 50+ phone calls, emails and appointments as needed.
- Work with Lot team to ensure all used cars are compliant with FTC buyer guides and stickers as needed.
- Proficient In V-auto, Elead, Dealertrack, Reynolds Ignite Software Systems,
- Lead management and assignment of used car inquiries.
- Marketing to include vehicle descriptions, pricing via Vauto and Reynolds and Reynolds.
- Follow up with existing and potential customers and closing deals
- Assist in generating Sales and financing of used cars in dealer inventory.
- Complete quotes, return emails / voicemail, running and explaining credit applications, processing transaction paperwork.
- Highly Energetic and Well spoken in both verbal and email skills.
- Ability to work with accounting to resolve tag and title and used car issues between service and sales.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and be able to teach new staff as you learn.
- Tenacious yet professional follow up on customer inquiries.
