Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Employee Communications Specialist to join our People & Culture team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting key projects that require major communication and change management activities.

The role will be facilitating organizational initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions, and promoting employee adoption of various types of organizational changes.

This will be a supportive role, reporting to the Vice President of People & Culture, where this role will focus on creating organizational change management content including but not limited to targeted communications, training content, surveys, coordinating OCM events, etc.

Position Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy for our First-Up digital engagement software, to elevate the employee experience and personalize engagement.

Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to support organizational change initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, process improvements, and technology implementations.

Create engaging and informative communication materials, such as newsletters, emails, intranet content, presentations, and videos, to keep employees informed about changes, updates, and company news.

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and project teams, to gather information, provide communication guidance, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

Conduct audience analysis and tailor communication strategies to meet the needs and preferences of diverse employee groups.

Measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication efforts through surveys, feedback mechanisms, and data analytics, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Provide coaching and support to leaders and managers on effective communication techniques, change management best practices, and employee engagement strategies.

Lead or support change management initiatives, including identifying change impacts, developing change management plans, and facilitating change readiness assessments.

Serve as a liaison between internal departments, ensuring clear and consistent messaging and coordination of communication activities.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technologies related to employee communications, change management, and employee engagement.

Contribute to the development and execution of internal communication policies, guidelines, and standards.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

Minimum of 5 years related experience with a Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, organizational psychology, business administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred with 3 years of related experience).

Proven experience in employee communications, change management, or related roles, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for various audiences and channels.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communication plans, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

Experience using communication tools and platforms, such as intranet systems, email marketing software, and social media platforms.

Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools, such as Prosci's ADKAR model or Kotter's 8-Step Process.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to measure communication effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and accuracy in all communications.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to leverage multiple communication technologies platforms including but not limited to First-Up, the Telometry System, SharePoint (Internet, Intranet) and Glassdoor / LinkedIn for AV branding.

Physical Demands

Ability to work in an office environment (Constant)

Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

Special Requirements

Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.

The salary range for this role is :

$81,400 - $115,500
