Mechanical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in design and manufacturing, with a focus on working in a regulated industry such as medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Independently research, design, modify, and verify complex mechanical components, subassemblies, equipment, and systems.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management teams.
• Conduct advanced prototyping and feasibility tests, analyze results, provide recommendations, and develop reports that translate into validated, innovative products.
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing issues and non-conformances for new and existing products.
• Interface with external vendors, contract manufacturers, consultants, and manufacturing technicians.
• Travel to customer and supplier sites, both domestically and internationally.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams, where the ability to travel to various customer and supplier sites is required. The role may also include working with a variety of manufacturing processes and requires proficiency in using CAD software. The work environment is dynamic, with opportunities to engage in both independent and team-based projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Valencia, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
