Terraphase Engineering is seeking a full-time Staff Geotechnical Technician to join our team in our Woodinville, WA office.
The Role
- Observe earthwork phase of construction. Coordinate with contractors and perform in-situ density tests.
- Complete laboratory soil tests.
- Assist in the preparation of site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).
- Demonstrate a commitment to safe work practices in the field, aligning with HASP and relevant regulations.
- Position involves lifting and loading equipment from / to a vehicle.
- Individual will use an assortment of hand tools (e.g., shovels, shop vacs, hand augers).
- Must be able to manipulate a 55-gallon drum.
- Will perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary.
Who You Are
- Associate's degree or relevant certification in geotechnical sciences, environmental technology, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in geotechnical or environmental fieldwork.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and data entry software.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks in various field conditions.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols.
- Obtain and keep current all certifications / licenses required (i.e. 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training, Confined Spaces).
- Ability to lift an average of 70 lbs.
- Individual must be familiar with and able to use basic hand tools.
- Must be flexible to changes in schedule and be available for on call status.
Preferred Qualifications
- Portable Nuclear Gauge Safety Certificate
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training
- CPR and First Aid Training.

Salary
Compensation for this position is based on years of experience, technical expertise, technical education, and geographic location with a range of $52,000 to $62,400.
Requirements :
