Job Description

Cricut’s Creative Projects team is looking for a talented, innovative designer and art director with exceptional creative skills and a relentless desire to delight customers.

This role will be customer obsessed and will always be innovating! If you have proven expertise generating fresh ideas, designing for a human centered brand across different product categories, and taking projects from concept to completion we’re looking for you.

You must have the ability to independently translate creative briefs and concepts into customer-centric themes and designs that answer the brief, tell a story, elevate our brand, and generate growth.

You will proactively develop creative that will help improve the customer experience, have excellent communication and presentation skills, and possess the ability to articulate design choices.

You are organized, flexible, self-motivated, and thrive in a deadline-driven atmosphere. You prioritize asks strategically and manage time effectively.

You exhibit strong attention to detail, respond positively to feedback, and want to be part of an engaged team who values collaboration and shares a goal of creative excellence.

Responsibilities :

• Lead a diverse team of designers and illustrators with the goal to create craft project creative that is new, unique and personal.
• Partner with the studio and concept to create projects that supports all facets of Cricut’s business.
• Work with the studio team to support production goals and timelines.
• Lead with positivity, be goal oriented, and deadline driven.
• Be hands on and create fresh, human driven, project design that goes beyond the obvious and connects on a personal level with our growing audience and target market.
• Identify trends & create content that generates excitement with our target demographic and customers.
• Mentor your team and share your experience and expertise. Help each member of the team learn, grow and reach the next level of their careers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Visual Design or Illustration.
• 5+ years of creative Art Direction experience.
• Team-player that’s all about yes, and.
• You can do it not just command it.
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong portfolio of graphic design and / or illustration work required.
• History of creative leadership and team building.
• Experience in high-growth high-demand startups a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
