Williamsburg Landing, a CARF-accredited Life Plan Community, seeks a part-time Dishwasher to join our Dining Services Team.
This position maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen and food storage areas and ensures cooking and dining implements meet or exceed quality standards.
The ideal candidate must be dependable, exercise good judgement, maintain positive interactions with residents and staff, and be able to safely follow operating procedures and directions.
JOB DUTIES
- Washes and sanitizes all dishes, pots, pans and food preparation equipment
- Empties kitchen garbage / trash and sanitizes containers
- Sweeps, mops and foams kitchen floor, refrigerator / freezer and storeroom
- Assists putting away deliveries as needed
- Performs regular cleaning of heavy kitchen equipment
- Maintains cleanliness of all walls in kitchen and serving line area
- May transport linens, equipment, and foods between buildings in the community
- Assists in moving heavy equipment and furniture when needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior relevant work experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; ability to follow verbal and written directions
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; requires standing and walking for duration of shift
- Ability to withstand temperature extremes and humidity
- Must obtain a Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment
- If transporting goods and materials, must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia Drivers' License

Base rate of pay is $15.50 / hour, commensurate with experience
