The chosen candidate will perform pharmacy assistant duties :
- Enter patient information and prescriptions into Kroll computer system
- Operate Pacmed machines and software; preparing unit dose type medications
- Performing routine inventory, including the placement and receiving of orders
- Check for expired medications and discard it properly
- Performing quality assurance tasks regarding the orderly dispensation of prescription medication, including completeness and correctness
- Answering phones and completing administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain proper drug storage and security
- Assist with the preparation, packaging, and labelling of prescription medications
Qualifications
It is required that the chosen candidate have the following :
- High School diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant work experience
- Kroll software experience
It is preferred that the chosen candidate have the following skills and abilities :
- Beginner level Microsoft Office application experience
- Pacmed machine experience
- A caring attitude toward others
- Communication skills
- Mental alertness while doing routine tasks
- Pay attention to detail
- Be mentally and physically fit to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Possess interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external contacts while delivering services in a timely and accurate manner.
- Can manage sensitive information and recognize limits / boundaries.
- Recognize the limits of the positions responsibilities and situations requiring management involvement.
- Demonstrate an awareness of accident and injury prevention; adhere to safe work practices and procedures; and be responsible for maintaining self-wellness and reduced absenteeism.
