Heartland Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) to lead our team in the integration and management of advanced design and construction technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture or engineering, with extensive experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM), Revit, and other design software tools.
This role is critical in driving the adoption of cutting-edge virtual design processes to enhance our project delivery, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development and implementation of VDC strategies across the company.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate VDC into all phases of construction, from pre-construction through project completion.
- Assist in the pursuit and delivery of design-build projects.
- Oversee the adoption and utilization of BIM, Revit, and other design technologies.
- Develop and maintain company-wide standards for VDC processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
- Research and evaluate new software, tools, and methodologies to keep the company at the forefront of industry technology.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination and execution of VDC processes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for VDC-related challenges during project development and execution.
- Ensure that all VDC deliverables are accurate, timely, and align with project goals and client expectations.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of virtual designs.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with VDC processes, including potential design clashes, budget overruns, and timeline delays.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding VDC-related inquiries and updates.
- Present VDC models and processes to clients, ensuring transparency and understanding of project progress and decisions.
