Position Purpose : Our client is well established in the global aerospace industry, seeking an experienced QC Inspector to join their team.
This candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all inspections of the products are performed and accepted for customer requirements and company standards.
Essential functions : Follow quality processes & procedures to perform detailed inspection in receiving, in process and final inspection.
Complete required documentationPerform AS9102 first article inspection and other extensive inspections per specificationsDocument all inspections in accordance with LeFiell procedures and processesEnsure quality standards are met for all components & assemblies for final acceptanceDevelop and review inspection plansMaintain parts history folders, inspection reports and prints / drawingsUtilize standard measuring instrumentsCalibrate and document hand tools and other inspection equipmentPerform visual inspectionPerform hardness and electrical conductivity testingGD&T knowledgeExperience, knowledge and skills : 5 -10 Years of experience as a mechanical or CMM inspector, Class A Inspector in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
Effectively work with mechanical & electronic inspection tools & devicesWorking knowledge of mylars, optical comparator, thickness gage, profilometer & CMMWorking knowledge of Geometric & dimensional tolerance4sKnowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes & standardsAble to read blueprints & schematicsMust be accurate & detailed with minimum errorsAble to work within specific time schedules / deadlinesComputer skills : working knowledge of MS officePerform job with minimum supervisionCertification in Mechanical inspection & / or CMM inspection preferred
