Summary of Position :
This position involves the installation of conduit and wiring of devices and controllers for Building Automation Systems.
The technician must be capable of reading and interpreting MEP plans & specifications, and capable of reading and interpreting BAS Submittal Drawings.
We do require applicants to possess a valid driver’s license and they must qualify to operate a company vehicle.
Level-1 Requires consistent supervision while laying out the installation of projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts on the job site.
Must be able to support the Journeyman’s needs with the installation of electrical conduit, electrical conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation material.
The team member must be willing to learn the standard processes, procedures, and products that the company invests in. (1-3 years of experience)
Level-2 Requires minimal supervision while laying out the installation of projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts on the job site.
Must be able to support other apprentices and Journeyman’s needs with the installation of electrical conduit, electrical conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation material.
The team member must also have a solid understanding of the standard processes, procedures, and products that the company invests in, while being able to troubleshoot most systems issues they encounter.
Additional responsibilities would be assisting with point-to-point checkout, completing thorough project documentation, and identifying change order opportunities.
2-4 years of experience)
Level-3 Requires no supervision while laying out the installation of multiple projects. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts on the job site.
Must be able to support apprentices needs with the installation of electrical conduit, electrical conductors, junction boxes, and Building Automation material.
The team member must also have a complete understanding of the standard processes, procedures, and products that the company invests in, while being able to troubleshoot any system issues they encounter.
Additional responsibilities would be performing point-to-point checkout, completing thorough project documentation, and identifying change order opportunities.
Must hold a Journeyman’s License in the State of Nebraska. (4+ years of experience)
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Proactively work in a safe and efficient manner in the context of performing the functions of your position.
- Ensure that customer satisfaction is always 100%.
- Interact professionally with customers and contractors as required.
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers and team leads to meet the needs of all project requirements.
- Assist teammates as needed.
- Installation of control wiring, control components, EMT conduit, reading and understanding electrical diagrams, working from ladders.
- Reading MEP plans and other Construction documents.
- Provide status reports of work related to any project involvement.
- Troubleshooting abilities.
- Possesses or willing to obtain OSHA Safety Certificate.
Requirements
- GED or High school diploma with at least one year of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify to operate a company vehicle.
- Must possess documented experience / training on various systems and controls.
- Ability to work overtime, varied shift hours and occasional travel as needed.
- Effectively able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong computer skills are necessary for Level 3, and would be preferred, but not a necessity for Level 1-2.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, contractors, supervisor, and fellow team members.
- Work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, twist, stand and climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects and prioritize based on departmental functions
Schedule :
- 40-hour work week
- 4 / 10 working schedule - Monday to Thursday (typical)
- Day shift
- Night shift, overtime, and weekends - as needed
- Travel - as needed
