Position : ADA Accessibility Assessor
Reports directly to the General Manager of Facilities
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform ADA assessments and ensure compliance with accessibility standards
- Investigate, analyze, and respond to technical inquiries related to accessibility issues.
- Conduct ADA field surveys.
- Participate in all phases of accessibility work, including design plan review, field inspections, technical assistance, remediation plans, and training
- Adheres to budgets, timelines, and quality control plans.
- Demonstrate proficiency in specialized regulations, codes, and standards, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, building codes, and accessibility guidelines.
- Generate written reports using computer, iPad, and other electronic devices and software programs.
- Deliver outstanding customer service through timely responses and proactive solutions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area, complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Write reports communicating field findings during time at home.
- Develop clear, actionable recommendations for compliance and improvement.
- Develop and communicate best practices for operations on ADA compliance and accessibility.
- Keep current on changes in ADA regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments such as IT, legal, development, construction, and facilities to integrate accessibility solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting ADA assessments and writing technical reports.
- Ability to manage several ongoing projects simultaneously.
- Experience in accessibility drawing reviews and construction monitoring is preferable.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to perform site visits
- Familiarity with design and construction-related services pertinent to ADA.
- ADA Certifications such as ADAC, CASp, TX RAS, IBC Certified Inspector Plans Inspector preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis on MS Excel.
- Excellent time management skills, including handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and working independently.
- Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, organizational / prioritization skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication skills

Compensation :
- Competitive Annual Salary
- Performance-based Bonus : Up to 20% annually
- Car Allowance : $800 per month
- Cell Phone Allowance : $100 per month
