Diagnostic Training Manager
Position Summary :
The Diagnostics Training Manager is a key position that provides training and supervision for Psychometrist and Lead Psychometrists and assists with completing comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations and screenings in accordance with all professional best practices and guidelines.
This position requires a highly detailed and reliable person who is team-oriented and has the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and is self-driven to ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is passionate about helping families with children with special needs by elevating the standard of assessments to determine the best course of treatment.
You'll Role at Axis for Autism :
- Conduct training, including onboarding and on-going, training for psychometrists.
- Create, execute, and update of all ADOS-2 training materials.
- Clinically supervise and support all psychometrists.
- Support Clinical Directors in clinical optimization for psychometricians.
- Host and plan psychometrician monthly meetings.
- Plan twice annual professional development regarding ADOS for Psychometricians and Psychologists.
- Collaborate with scheduling to support psychometrician onboarding and ongoing needs.
- Expand diagnostic team by recruiting new psychometrists and establishing diagnostics in new areas of Axis for Autism operational footprint.
- Willingness to participate in advanced training in ADOS-2 research reliability training within first 3 months of the role.
- Ongoing ADOS materials maintenance assessment to ensure kit / module fidelity.
- Identify process improvements for ADOS administration and training.
- Provide feedback to Clinical Directors and Leadership on performance measures.
- Design and conduct ongoing ADOS-2 Quality Assurance for psychometrists.
- Conduct review of ADOS-2 administration and scoring to identify errors as a result of identified external grievance or internal concern.
- Support and collaborate with Clinical Directors for complex client profiles.
- Administer of assessments for autism focused evaluations, with emphasis on ADOS-2 administration.
- Administer of other diagnostic measures such as DAYC or MIGDAS or supporting patient appointments when there are staff cancellations.
- Manage of online scoring software.
- Comply with all medical records and information privacy regulations, local, state and federal.
- Support full cycle recruiting efforts and needs analysis for psychometrists.
- Provide feedback to Clinical Directors and Leadership on performance measures.
- Attend regularly scheduled diagnostic service line meetings and leadership meetings.
- Develop and maintain relationships with psychologists and other clinical staff within Axis For Autism.
- Perform other special projects and duties as necessary and requested.
- Maintain consistent alignment with AXIS mission of advancing research and providing a lifetime of support for individuals with autism while putting our clients and their family members first on a day-in and day-out basis.
- Maintain primary focus upon work duties and results as well as client services needs with secondary focus on administrative tasks, while maintaining minimal distraction on achieving position goals by non-work-related responsibility and non-client service activities.
Who You Are :
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, school psychology, education, counseling, or related field required.
- Specialized experience or significant history with ADOS required .
- Full operational knowledge of psychological testing standards .
- Master or Doctorate education level preferred.
- At least 2 years prior experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and Developmental Disabilities.
Some experience working with adults with autism spectrum disorder preferred.
- Specific experience in training or teaching of others in learning new content or skills
- Ability to prioritize while meeting all deadlines and demonstrating a high level of reliability and efficiency.
- Strong organizational, communication, delegation and relationship-building skills.
- Skill in cultural competency and the ability to communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with both individuals, families, and groups from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
- Highly detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
- Works well in a collaborative environment and builds mutual trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivated to achieve business goals.
