Drama Kids International is a children's enrichment program where we use drama elements to help develop our students' imagination and creativity, literacy skills, public speaking, leadership / teamwork and acting abilities, while building their confidence and social / emotional skills learned in a fun and professional atmosphere.

• Are you available Monday through Friday from 2 : 30 5 : 30 p.m.? Saturday availability is a bonus.

We pay well ($25-35 / hour, paid training and travel), treat our people with respect and kindness, and value their ideas and contributions.

As a member of our great team you will :

Work 6-20 hours per week in the afternoons and early evenings.

Teachers may choose to have additional hours like mornings for preschools, or weekends for community classes.

We compensate you for travel and curriculum prep time at $30 / hour, and also pay for your 20 hours of training at $15 / hour.

Here are some of the work you will be expected to do :

Teach and mentor students from 4 to 18 years of age.

Primarily ages 6-10.

Follow provided world renowned lesson plans on speech, movement & acting.

You will not be expected to provide your own curriculum.

• Direct short plays (priority for musical theater directors)
• Build relationships with parents and students
• Deliver presentations and MC performances
• Foster relationships with local schools
• Attend online and in-person training, weekly Zoom check-ins, and monthly staff meetings
• Opportunity to do additional administrative and marketing work / projects at the pay rate of $20 / hour.
• Have HIGH ENERGY.

Able to sit on the floor and jump around with the kids.

Physical requirements may include moving chairs, sets, props, backdrops and carrying items to and from the car.

Job Type : Part-time

Salary : $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule :

• Primarily after school
• Possible morning or evening classes
• Optional Saturday classes
• Full-time Summer Camp options

COVID-19 considerations :

All adults must be vaccinated in order to start work.

All adults will be expected to contribute to the excellent hygiene and safety at all our program spaces.

Education :

Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience :

• Acting / Directing : 1 year (Required)
• Teaching : 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location : On the road in King County, WA.

We serve the following school districts : Kent, Renton, Issaquah, Bellevue, Lake Washington, Northshore, and Snoqualmie Valley.
