Financial Analyst I
Responsibilities
Working under general supervision on routine assignments and detailed instructions on new assignments, performs analysis and studies to improve the operational and effectiveness of PHCS.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Solicits internal and external business partner / stakeholder input to ensure reporting will meet stakeholder needs and objectives.
Plays a lead role in developing, recommending, implementing, and providing standardized and ad hoc contract management tools in accordance with requirements, objectives and partner / stakeholder needs.
Includes dashboard analytics and reporting. Participates in the implementation of new or otherwise updated reporting, which may include contributing to the development and updating of training materials to assist stakeholders in the use and interpretation of such reports.
Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and / or format data and / or reports.
Requirements
Two years college with courses in accounting, business, or related field.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
Typically 2-6 years job related experience required
Three years related financial experience preferred. Additional education may be substituted for some experience preferred.
Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and / or word processing required.
