Position : Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Hours : M-F 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (some flexibility)

Work Site : On site Monday-Friday

Start Date : ASAP

LHH Staffing is hiring a Medical Biller for a medical office in Phoenix, AZ. This position includes responsibilities such as following up on unpaid claims, submitting billings, handling denials, and more.

We are looking for a friendly, bubbly, team player to join our team.

Responsibilities :

Follow up on unpaid claims using AlphaCollector

Submit paper, electronic, and web portal billings

Ensure timely billing and handle denials via mail and Waystar

Correct rejections within 24 hours

Submit claims for rebills within filing limits

Communicate unresolved denials to business managers and supervisors

Assist with month-end close as needed

Review unbilled and no charge reports

Cross-train for coverage as needed

Perform other duties as assigned

Measurements : Days to bill, clean claim rate, days to payment, aging to claims analysis variance

Experience :

2+ years in healthcare billing (private insurance / federally funded programs preferred) (long term billing preferred)

Knowledge of Waystar and state billing portals beneficial

Experience reading and understanding remits for denial reasons

Qualifications :

Must comply with HIPAA regulations

Strong communication skills (email and phone)

Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks

Understanding of payment conditions

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education :

High School diploma or equivalent required

Associate degree or higher preferred
