Marine Engineer Logistic Support Specialist Job Summary
We are seeking for a Marine Integrated Logistics Specialist for an exciting at a major shipyard. This role will support the construction, outfitting, and deployment of National Security Multi-Mission Vessels (NSMV).
Marine Engineer Logistic Support Specialist Responsibilities
- Develop and implement planned maintenance systems using vendor data, technical manuals, and best practices.
- Coordinate logistics support for hull, mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, ensuring alignment with ship configurations.
- Manage the inventory of as-built drawings and technical manuals.
- Support the warranty program for newly delivered vessels.
- Assist in the development of operational and maintenance manuals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize supply chain and maintenance planning
Marine Engineer Logistic Support Specialist Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a maritime academy or equivalent combination of education and sea-going experience.
- 2+ years of experience in shipboard logistics, data management, or relevant shipboard roles.
- Experience sailing as an engineering officer on a U.S. Flagged ocean-going vessel is preferred.
- Familiarity with ABS NS-E, NS-5 Software database or equivalent programs is required.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
