Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, AET the Sr. Human Resources Manager will be responsible for providing human resources and talent management expertise for the Celera Motion business.
This role will partner with the Celera President and General Manager, along with other business leaders to drive The Novanta Way initiatives and achieve other critical business objectives.
The scope of this position will include providing human resources guidance, consultation, and support across all business functions to drive talent to value efforts as well as talent development.
Primary Responsibilities
- Partner across the HR function to develop and deliver value added HR services to the business management team and employees that reflects Novanta’s strong company values and the business objectives of the organization.
- Execute HR talent and organizational priorities and initiatives within the Celera Motion business unit.
- Align talent plans with the business strategy and identify opportunities to improve organizational capability and drive culture change.
- Partner across the HR function to develop and deliver value added HR services to the business management team and employees that reflects our strong company values and the business objectives of the organization.
- Diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy actions to resolve gaps, including organization redesign, process change, coaching and training.
- Develop talent acquisition plans that anticipate short / long-term business needs.
- Coach others on how to engage and retain key talent, identify when there is a retention risk and differentiate between wanted and unwanted turnover.
- Champion and facilitate execution of Novanta Way culture objectives.
Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies
- Track record of progressive development through working experiences in various areas of human resources management (HR rotation program, a plus)
- Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Have experience in managing HRIS systems and utilizing data for strategic decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business leaders to drive initiatives and achieve critical business objectives
- Demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop HR staff.
- Strong analytical and project management skills
