Armed Security Officer - Government Site

As an Armed Security Officer in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. Pay Rate : $26.21 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sat 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sun 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and / or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to a variety of situations that may arise within a government environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have a minimum of 3 years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
