ROLE : HVAC Installation Technical Support Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY :

The HVAC Installation Technical Support Specialist works with the HB Home Service Team to maintain a 5-star experience for co-workers and customers by responding to basic and routine inquiries of technical nature including hardware and / or software inquiries.

This role works directly with our customers and team members and must maintain great communication, personable skills and follow HB Home Services core values.

In this role the ability to bring a win-win mentality of building value, exceeding expectations, and bringing resolve to customer and technician experiences will be key.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Monitor and influence improvement on quality of technical services
• Provide remote & onsite technical support
• Approximately 50% of time will be spent on job sites supporting technicians and improving the practice of processes & standards as well as performing service and install work as needed.

Remaining time will be reserved for office work for planning, technician meetings, and customer relations & correspondence.

• Will stay up to date on new releases of software and provide training if needed
• Organize and perform support to customers on high technical level escalations.
• Perform technician safety inspections
• Assist users of technical products or services by answering questions and solving problems involved in their use
• Identify opportunity for technician growth & development
• Perform technical services as needed (service, repair, diagnose, replacing equipment)
• Provide user guidance on device and application usage with the focus of the support being on the field staff and mobile equipment utilized in the field

MINIMUM / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION :

• High school diploma, completion of G.E.D or appropriate work experience
• Possess knowledge of OSHA regulations as they pertain to the work of the technicians. Monitor and ensure safe work protocols.
• Plan for future improvement of self and team.

• Must be proficient in computer, tablet and smart phone skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
• Be able to read, understand and work with drawings and specifications
• Create a 5-star experience for technicians and customers.
• Other duties as assigned by HVAC Installation Manager
