Position Summary :
We are looking for a Unit Supervisor to join its Residential Program Leadership team. As the Unit Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of service coordination, delivery, and treatment of students residing in the treatment unit including developing, evaluating and monitoring unit program.
You will supervise cottage staff including the integration of other departments affecting the success of treatment programs as well as ensure adherence to established rules and regulations governing the operations of the Agency.
Responsibilities Include :
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the Academy’s programs teaching day-to-day living skills, communication, and social skills to students with autism spectrum disorders.
- Direct staff in the areas of new trends and developments in the industry.
- Direct staff in all aspects of daily operations including case management, educational assistance, safety and behavioral issues.
- Evaluate, support and / or enhance staff skills through supervisor meetings and direct observation.
- Oversee student treatment by reviewing, interviewing and enrolling new students, supervising daily operations, coordinating collection of behavioral data, and case management review.
- Responsible for crisis intervention in response to emergency medical, emotional and physical situations.
- Responsible for preparation of and timely maintenance of clinical records ensuring compliance with all applicable licensing standards and federal, state and local laws.
- Serve as Agency liaison and maintain appropriate relations with other departments, social service agencies, parent / guardians, and other professionals.
Qualifications :
- Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
- Valid Ohio LISW, LPCC, or Psychologist license required
- Minimum three years working with children, adolescents and their families.
- Strong clinical skills including expertise in pervasive developmental disorders, functional analysis of behavior, behavioral management, crisis intervention, family education, educational methods for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders.
- Ability to deal with crisis situations that require prompt decision and action.
- Proven experience in both clinical and administrative supervision.
